Arrow Financial Services is a high volume debt collector headquartered at 5996 W. Touhy Ave., Niles, IL 60714.  The company also has offices in Rockville Centre, New York and Paterson, New Jersey.

• Arrow Financial Services has been sued multiple times for debt collection abuse, harassment and for other unfair and deceptive debt collection practices.
• Arrow Financial Services was accused in a class action lawsuit of attempting to collect on debts that consumers had already discharged in bankruptcy, a violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA).  Arrow Financial Services was also accused of demanding “proof” of bankruptcy discharge when informed by consumers that their debts had been discharged in bankruptcy, also in violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA).  See Lau v. • In another case brought by an individual consumer, Arrow Financial Services agreed to pay statutory and actual damages, as well as attorney’s fees for its attempts to collect on a debt that had been discharged several years earlier in a bankruptcy proceeding.  See Torgerson v. Arrow Financial Services, 2007 WL 1941752 (N.D. Ill. 2007).
• A California federal court determined that Arrow Financial Services violated the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) when the collection agency sent collection letters to consumers implying that it had already reported debts older than seven years to credit bureaus and that it intended to do so in the future as well.  The Court ruled that Arrow Financial Services’ conduct was false and deceptively misleading to consumers.  See Gonzales v. Arrow Financial Services LLC, 489 F.Supp.2d 1140 (S.D. Cal. 2007).
